Mayah Jaimes (they/them) was born in Tarboro, North Carolina where they were imursed in the arts by their mother. They first saw The Lion King during a tour at the Durham Performing Arts Center, they were hooked from that point on.

Mayah began their stage management career their freshman year of high school where they had the opportunity to assisstant stage manage their schools production of Big Fish. Their second show they were given the role of stage manager.

Following high school, they were accepted to Millikin University to pursue a BFA in Stage Management. While at Millikin, Mayah began to explore lighting design more deeply, developing a love for the art.

Following graduation, Mayah plans to move to Chicago to begin the next chapter of their life.
